A Quick Guide That Explains How to Find Top Persuasive Essay Topics

Persuasive essays are tricky. To choose the topic that is right for you, realize that there is one element above all that will. Help you persuade your audience. That is Passion. With passion, you can bring a lot of yourself and energy and truth to your arguments, and that will come to bring you point home that much more. While finding persuasive argument topics, it is really a personal journey that you should find yourself undertaking. That said, here are some persuasive essay topics.

  1. How should one live one's life? There are many ways to approach this question, and there is no shortage of answers. However, one could easily argue that there are ways that are better than others- for example, it is best not to accomplish nothing and live an unhappy life. However, what is greater, happiness or achieving greatness? This is a complex question but certainly coverable.
  2. Are utilitarian ethics just? The basic idea is the greatest good for the greatest amount of people, but this does result in certain individuals being put in bad situations. To what extent can the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few? How should we go about this?
  3. Interpersonal relationships are a part of all our lives. However, sometimes they become poisonous or untenable for us to have. The question is, at what point should be abandon a relationship? Do we not have loyalty for people in our lives? It is a hard topic to wrestle with, how do we find a medium between loyalty and health? For it would seem hard to live a life where we only kept relationships that helped us in some way.
  4. What is the best way to raise a child? Is being strict good, or is it better to allow the child to explore the world by themselves, without supervision? There are a lot of pros and cons to different approaches, and I suppose this depends on the kind of people we want our children to be. So persuade your audience of an optimal strategy.
  5. Is cultural relativism a useful way to think about the world in all circumstances? Certainly, we cannot say there is a best culture, but it would seem that some cultures promote values that are harmful to segments of society or society as a whole. We can hardly say that say, the culture of modern France is not better than the culture of World War 2 Nazis. That is a dangerous road to declaring some cultures as undesirable or weak and then destroying or oppressing them. How can one navigate this complicated cultural world?
