Domestic Violence: An Analysis of Effects on Children
This six page undergraduate paper examines the impact of domestic violence on children. The author notes that psychologists are in agreement that domestic violence negatively affects children on many levels. The severity of these effects depends upon the child and his or her particular circumstances, maturity, and personality; but common basic effects include physical harm, fears of physical harm, parental loss, and declining parental love. Tragically, long-term psychological damage is likely when children are exposed to physical and psychological conflict between parents.
