This paper discusses total systems intervention, a metamethodology of critical systems thinking. The purpose of this paper is to discuss the role of critical systems thinking and its benefits. Specifically, the nature of total systems intervention will be exmained, the costs and benefits of the method outlined. Finally, a case study will be explained that puts total system intervention to practice and shows how it can be of practical use and application.
