In the following pages, I will argue that the practice of cloning is not only morally acceptable, but that we as a society have a moral responsibility to support cloning as a potential means of saving and extending human lives. Cloning is a scientific procedure, and yet debate over the practice usually takes place on the religious or ethical battlegrounds. It should not be quickly assumed, however, that these two groups fall on the "con" side of the cloning coin. Religious arguments are based largely on the traditions and scriptures that are unique to each faith.
