Professor Michael Eysencks research has focused primarily on cognitive factors that can be associated with anxiety. The notion that there are individual differences in attentional and interpretive biases applied to threatening stimuli is of central importance to his theorizing and research (M. Eysenck 2003). Cognitive theories on anxiety have proven to be correct, not only by Michael Eysencks, but other studies by different professionals show that cognitive theories can affect anxiety and help those who experience anxiety. Research completed from M. Eysenck and others show that cognitive theories have an impact on anxiety.
