This paper shall discuss Banduras concepts of human agency as a central facet in the study of human development, change, and adaptation. Besides discussing in general terms how Banduras types of agency have been combined in a dynamic system in the West, examples of this will be provided from the authors own experiences within an academic setting. This should demonstrate that agency combination is actually an institutional component of cultural life in the West.
