The Intellectual Foundations of Neo-Liberal Institutions
This three page undergraduate essay examines the intellectual foundations of neo-liberal institutions. The author notes that neo-liberalism has been generally defined by political scientists as a socioeconomic movement which features traditional liberal concerns for social justice with an emphasis upon economic growth. Subsequently, the intellectual foundations of neo-liberal institutions consist of socio-political and socio-economic perspectives which reflect traditional liberal concerns but also take into account a new emphasis upon achieving economic justice through economic growth.
