Dating back to the American Civil War and following it up with the atrocities of Hitler, the United States has seen its share of race wars from both sides of the fence. Further, there is a race war present in the United States at the turn of the 21st century that seems to have endless possibilities. The race war of which this essay speaks is in full bloom and is levied against those of Middle Eastern descent, particularly those that are either Muslims or Sikhs. It is not a war against a religion, but instead is a war founded on ethnicity and cultural heritage; in short, it is a contemporary race war that has a potentially far-reaching vision that will encompass the future. It, unfortunately, includes injustices to United States citizens based only on the merits of race.
