In this paper, we will examine Platos views on art, and in particular his view on poetry. Throughout history there have been many philosophers that have had immense impacts on the way we view art. Platos views, in particular, have made a tremendous impact on our world. He is one of the worlds most famous writers, and his views on art, though quite controversial in the context of the modern world, are still being examined and used to support argument today.
