This paper encompasses a discussion of Saul Kripkes argument presented in Naming and Necessity and Christopher S. Hills Imaginability, conceivability, possibility and the mind-body problem. Specifically the paper addresses Kripkes argument that casts doubt on the claim that pain is c-fiber stimulation. In addition Hills argument and responses and the success of the argument is examined and discussed.
