Cultural Barriers in the Treatment of Tuberculosis
This paper presents a case study of the issue of cultural barrier and the treatment of tuberculosis. The issues with immigrants, lack of health promotion and education are presented in the paper. Reference to the book The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down by Anne Fadiman is addressed and examined because it has relevance to the issue of cultural barriers in the treatment of tuberculosis and other diseases.
