This essay discusses the character Tommy in "Good Will" and Luke in "Dinner at the Homesick Restaurant". The paper shows how Tommy resorts to vandalism and violence to make himself heard, while Luke needs to run away from home to express himself. Both individuals act out in dysfunctional situations to make their true feelings understood, even though they do not understand their own feelings completely.
