The Ironic Juxtaposition of war and domesticity in Homer's Odyssey .
In book 22 of the Odyssey, the primary setting is of a domestic and pastoral nature. Thus, the violence and carnage that takes place in the midst of this landscape is highly incongruous and creates a sense of profound irony in Homer's work.
