Opposing Religious Sentimentality: Analyzing the Metaphysical Writings of Robert Frost, Dylan Thomas, Carolyn Forche and A.R. Ammons
This study will analyze the metaphysical nature of the poets Robert Frost, Dylan Thomas, Carolyn Forche and A.R. Ammons. By showing how 'light' and 'darkness' are symbolized in the poem, we can understand a lack of religious sentimentality in these authors, but not without a greater sense of metaphysical spirituality in the text presented in this study.
