Literary Analysis: The Themes of Loyalty and Betrayal in The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini
In this paper we can analyze the themes of loyalty and betrayal in the Khaled Hosseinis novel entitled: The Kite Runner. By exploring the tense class structured relationship that exists between Amir and Hassan, it is Amir that cannot stand up to the moral and courageous obligations of his caste status. In this manner, Hassan represents the blind loyalty of the Hazara class, which never fails to unite the two friends. However, it is Amir that weakness of the caste system by abandoning the nobility that he must enact when he betrays Hassan each and every time.
