This paper will discuss the notion of 'modernism' that Charles Baudelaire seeks to accept in light of the common notion that Classicism is a standard value in the arts. By realizing that Baudelaire does not see modernism as a sole contributor to the nude, but realizes the different ways that the nude can be represented in the modern notion of art in the nineteenth century. 3 pgs, bibliography lists 2 sources.
