This paper will analyze the literary work called "The Awakening" by Kate Chopin and seek to understand its plot, the characters involved and how they all seem to meet together in the story. The writer's history may be included to show why she created these affects within her tale. By an overall analysis we can understand this story in a clear light and make an educated study of why this book has been so well received for so many years. The Analysis will also focus on the feminist struggle that Edna goes through and why, in the end, she kills herself in the tale.
