This paper is a book review and summary of the book The History of Sexuality an Introduction Volume 1 by Michael Foucault. The paper includes a short biography and discussion about the author and his thoughts. It also includes what I feel the scope of the book was and the underlying theme. The paper is a general overview of the book and the tenets it presents to the reader and a summary of the overall work and what the author presents that promotes to a new thought about this subject.
