This eight page graduate paper examines how the Christian religion moved from the late antique Greco-Roman world to the early medieval kingdoms of the barbarians and underwent several significant changes. One of the most important changes was in the Churchs missionary program. Whereas the early Church had adopted a missionary model that emphasized one-on-one conversion, the medieval Church opted for a more ambitious approach that targeted kings and other leaders.
