Urban Waste in Industrialized and Developing Countries.
Urban waste is treated significantly differently in industrialised and developing countries. Treatment of municipal waste in Canada, with the emphasis on Toronto, is compared to cities in developing countries. It is concluded that urban waste in industrialised countries is a consequence of excess consumption. In developing countries it is a consequence of underdeveloped infrastructure for collection and disposal. 8 pgs. Bibliography lists 13 sources.
