Decreasing the Freshman Failure Rate at Long Branch High School.
The purpose of this practicum is to propose, design, and implement a transition program, the Bridge Program, at Long Branch High School that will decrease the percentage of students currently being retained in ninth grade due to a lack of social and academic preparation. The research and data compiled through previous studies and new methodology will help create the Bridge Program so that it will sufficiently meet the needs at Long Branch High School.
