Bold, Innovative Empiricism for Educational Psychologists
The purpose of the Educational Psychologist, according to Berliner, is to lend purpose to the field of education by being bold and definitive in the quest for classroom solutions. This is contrary to a history of such professionals taking the middle ground.
In achieving this step forward, Educational Psychologists can solve a surplus of outstanding educational issues, such as why boys fall out of the education models and other issues as they arise. This can be done, Berliner suggests, by combining general and educational psychology research projects.
