Media Watchdog Groups: Partisanship Disguised as Objectivity
This six page undergraduate paper examines media watchdog groups. The author notes that one would think that the existence of media watchdog groups such as Fairness and Accuracy in Reporting and Accuracy in Media would serve to remedy politically biased news reporting or at least limit it to a certain extent, but instead of being part of the solution, watchdog groups have become part of the problem. They are often guilty of the same political bias they accuse television networks and print media entities of, yet they adamantly refuse to concede this.
