This paper is divided into two parts, the first answering questions about the use of a DSS computer system to monitor and control the flow of traffic in a city, considering why certain elements in the system are needed; and the second considering the implementation of a computer-controlled supply chain system by Asda, the third largest supermarket chain in the United Kingdom.
