Exploring the Importance of Painful Performance in ESOP and other pay incentives.
The paper features on the different methods of rewarding employees available to the companies. It compares and contrasts their features. Their pros and cons. It bases these comparisons on the central issue of bad performance and how it should affect the management's decisions. Whether it should be considered, and in what conditions it should be of importance. The method of ESOP, profit sharing and 'pay-for-performance' are the methods that are considered for the purpose of this paper. They are reviewed separately and then the comparisons are drawn.
