Confucius (551-479 BC) and Chinese Political Philosophy.
In this paper, the writings of Confucius are analysed with respect to Chinese politics and Chinese society. Historical perspectives are compared with contemporary views of Chinese culture and society in Mainland China. An emphasis in this essay is placed on Communism in China, and how Confucian philosophy is adapted in different contexts of Chinese cultural authority. 13 pgs. 12 sources.
