This paper is a description and formal analysis of Glenn Ligon's "Untitled" (1992) prints from the Wesleyan University arts museum, particularly focusing on the black-on-black prints of text by Ralph Ellison, concerning the "invisible man." The analysis describes Ligon's techniques of etching and the possible significance of his work as part of the queer African-American discourse.
