This paper is a discussion of a particular initiative of World Vision, a non-governmental organization. Their HIV/AIDS Hope Initiative is aimed at care, prevention, and advocacy of cases of the disease particularly in Africa. This paper will discuss that initiative and World Vision in the larger context of globalization as well as the NGOs relationship to the World Bank.
