Which Presidential Elections Were Remembered for Their Turning Points
This paper discusses Presidential Elections that were remembered for their turning points. When thinking about presidents and the elections they participate in, it is also important to consider the times in which they sought and held the office. There are many circumstances or variables that determine the duties and of a president. The founding of government, the outbreak of war, or internal crises, are the criteria in which presidents work under. War changes everything in a nation, just as it did when "Lincoln faced the Civil War, when Wilson encountered World War I, and when Roosevelt was faced with the Great Depression and World War II." (Pious, 1993). An election serves as the nation's tool in choosing an individual that can handle the demands of the world's greatest country.
