This paper will discuss the range of complaints that the colonies had under the proposals projected in the writings of Thomas Jefferson. Thomas Jefferson's Declaration of Independence addresses the colonist's grievances against the British Crown prior to 1776. Amongst these complaints were tax, trade, and mercantilism.
