The Culture That Brought Indentured Servitude to the Americas and Its Effect on the Native American Population
This essay critically examines the impact that European colonizers had on the native cultures that already existed in the Americas when Europeans began to arrive in the wake of Columbus's discovery of the New World. It examines the culture of domination of the Europeans through the practice of indentured servitude. Then the essay uses two first-hand accounts and responses to the colonization to create an historical context for the domination the Europeans practiced.
